NO ONE IS ALONE LIKE ME (Music & Lyrics: Stedman) Russ – Guitar, Bass, Keyboards; Dino – Vocals, Drums, Lead Guitar; Russ: “I wrote this song in 1987 and it was one of the first things I ever recorded on my first 4-track. It has never been properly recorded or released until now.”

THE BALLARD OF HOWARD (Music & Lyrics: DiMuro) Dino – Guitars, Bass, Banjo, Mandolin, Drums; Russ – Vocals, Lead Guitar; Dino: “Why is it so enjoyable to paint someone else as the biggest clown on earth? Am I any better? No, I'm worse! That said, I had some goofy, banjo-inflected fun with this, and Russ added a great, acidic solo.”

BAKE IT IN A PIE (Music & Lyrics: Stedman) Dino – All Instruments & Vocals; Dino: “Russ's original song sounds totally mad upon first listen, but I loved it and wanted to deconstruct it; to put all the parts under a magnifying glass.” Russ: “The original version appears on my 2006 CD DUMB STUPID.”

THEY BURNED UP THE EVIDENCE (Music & Lyrics: DiMuro) Russ – All Instruments & Vocals; Dino: “The Shroud of Turin is most probably fake, but what if it wasn't? What if a band of Heathens burned it up and then killed all the Christians? Well, the Christians would watch from Heaven as the Heathens got their flaming deserts, chanting "Nanny nanny nanny-goat!" One of my favorite 80's songs, and Russ's Thin Lizzy-inspired version is awesome.” Russ: “Always comes to mind when I think of my favorite Dino songs. From his 1988 cassette I HAVE A PURPOSE.”

STEPHANIE COURTNEY (Music & Lyrics: DiMuro) Dino – All Instruments, Vocals; Russ – Vocals; Dino: “I love her, Russ loves her, let's do a song about her! Basically it wrote itself.” Russ: “I insisted on the Lauren Graham name-check.”

LOVE STORIES (Music & Lyrics: Stedman) Dino – All Instruments & Vocals; Russ – “Another found demo from the early 4-Track days. Glad I had it around for this project. The Mandolin really works here.”

SHE SUFFERED BLOWBACK (Music & Lyrics: DiMuro) Dino – Backing track & Vocals; Russ – Vocals & Lead Guitar; Dino-“Honestly, she didn't realize she was wearing a super-thin t-shirt; but after a full day of "my eyes are up here!" she learned her lesson. In case she forgets, here's this song.”

(Music & Lyrics: DiMuro) Dino – All Instruments; Russ – Vocals; Dino: ”The only thing standing between me and Rock Stardom was a guitar amp. That's why, when I finally got one, I became as big as Bowie. Or didn't you notice? A somewhat arthritic solo but it came from the heart.” Russ: “Much cooler than a song about watching Seals & Crofts on IN CONCERT.”

SOLAR-POWERED MAN (Music: Stedman, Lyrics: DiMuro) Russ – Synthesizers; Dino – Vocals, Lead Guitar, Additional Keyboards, FX; Dino:” Electronic vs. Solar. Which is better? Electronic has more sound effects, for one thing. Cool Russ backing which was fun to build on.” Russ: “Musically inspired by the early days of DEVO, like before the first album.”

HORRIBLE RIGHT-WINGER CHICK (Music & Lyrics: DiMuro) Dino – All Instruments, Vocals; Russ – Vocals, Lead Guitar, Dubya Impersonation; Dino: ”When ideology finally kills friendship. And for god's sake, don't put any pictures of your kid on the fridge - we need a daily reminder of 9-11! The banjo-fest at the end was meant to suggest a Tea Party "Dixie" hoedown. Another great Russ solo”

LIVING LETTER ONE (Music & Lyrics: DiMuro) Dino – All Instruments, Vocals; Russ – Vocals; Dino: “This is a song about young, naive home tapers who send out their original master tapes and never see them again. "Hal" is NOT Hal McGee!”

BAD KARMA BANK (Music & Lyrics: DiMuro) Russ – All Instruments & Vocals Dino: “True story, though it doesn't really have an ending. How DARE I go to my bank with an EXPIRED PASSPORT?! Russ created a decent song from an unlistenable, mumbling demo I sent him… but I knew he would!”

SPEND IT DOWN BLUES (Music: Stedman, Lyrics: DiMuro) Russ – Guitars, Bass, Drum Loops; Dino – Vocals, Keyboards, Guitars; Dino: “The Story Of My Recent Life… money in, money out. The chorus is stolen from Alice Cooper. A very early Russ backing track with insane solo.” Russ : “ I was originally calling the backing track NOT ABSOLUTELY FREE, because one day I sat down to teach myself how to play ABSOLUTELY FREE by The Mothers and ended up recording this instead.”

ROYAL RIFFAGE (Music: DiMuro) Dino – All Instruments

EIGHTY-SEVEN (Music & Lyrics: Stedman) Russ – All Instruments &Vocals; Russ : “A story about long overdue closure. No more songs for you, dear. You’ve had enough.”
